Abstract

Crammed into a meat suit somewhere lost among the bullshit, banter, and smog of LA, a hateful detective begins investigating a series of what appear to be cult murders.  However as he dives deeper, he suddenly finds himself confronting a much more sinister possibility.  When he interrupts one of these ritualistic "killings" he finds himself face to face with a mutation of the human race that threatens more than is flesh.  Rabid, vicious, erotic and hungry...

Elsewhere in the world, a young man is being haunted by visions of a plague.  He is hearing voices and being driven by blackouts and nightmares.  Left without his memory he is lost in a world of static and dillusion.  Cursed with thoughts that seem not his own, he struggles to understand what has happened to him; yet he knows these things:  He is lost, He is driven, and He can smell the blood on his fingers...

Foster's Plague unravels the mystery of zombie hood; often touted as the result of some fictional super virus that reanimates the dead.  Foster's plague looks at the truth in this possibility.  What if a contagion could mutate and attack the human mind?  What if it rendered the nervous system inert to pain?  What if it altered our metabolism, and rotted our flesh?  Questions for an age that should really ask, what if it was all our fault?...
